AC ISOLATION KITS (#AC-ISO-KIT)
A.C. and low voltage wiring must be isolated from each other in Stage Pockets installed in Back Boxes (#BBX, #DDBBX, #SO, #ISO, #BBXW, #DDBBXW, #SOW) which include both low voltage terminations and A.C. electric connections. Pockets which will include both low voltage panels (#PNL-100, #PNL-120, and #PNL-140 Series) and A.C. electric panels (#PE, #FP2E, and #FP3E Series) are required to utilize the AC Isolation Kits. This Kit provides the UL Listed conduit parts for isolated routing of the A.C. wires inside ACE Back Boxes, and is suitable for use in Full and Double Wide Back Stage Pockets and Full and Double Wide Back Boxes. A.C. wiring and terminations should only be completed by a qualified electrician.
GENERAL INSTALLATION OF AC ISOLATION KITS (#AC-ISO KIT)
The A.C. Isolation Kit (#AC-ISO KIT) is designed exclusively for use in Full and Double Wide Stage Pockets and Full and Double Wide Back Box combinations. First set the Back Box securely braced into the floor to provide support equal to the floor loading requirements, accounting for any height offset required for the finished floor. Second, standard electrical conduit may be connected to the back box on two sides via combination knock-outs using the female-to-female coupling (#GRC COUPLING). Third, connect the 18" non-metallic extra-flex conduit (#RACO 6712) inside the Back Box to the standard electric conduit coming in. At this point the extra-flex conduit may be cut to length to match the distance necessary for attaching the extra-flex conduit to the #PE Panel Single Gang Switch Box assembly (not included) which will be attached to the Stage Pocket Body. Fourth, attach the 90º swivel connector (#RACO 4732) to the opposite end of the extra-flex conduit. Fifth, attach the straight connector (#RACO 4742) to the 90º swivel connector and position to align and connect with the #PE Panel Switch Box assembly. Once the straight connector has been connected to the #PE Panel Switch Box assembly the panel may mounted to the Stage Pocket Body.
