Ashly NE1600PE 2 Channel Stereo Power Amplifier with DSP
Ashly Network Enabled "NE" With Portea DSP, 2 Channel Power amplifier, 400 watts per channel at 8 ohms, 800 watts per channel at 4 ohms. Networkable via RJ45 connectoion for monitoring, control and DSP.
Ashly's two-channel NE amplifiers for the performance installation and constant voltage markets, the ne800, ne1600 and the ne2400 add a new level of power and control from the simplest to most advanced audio system applications. The ne800 provides 400W, ne1600 800W and ne2400 1200W per channel at four ohms. Input connections are XLR-1/4” Neutrik combo connectors and 6-pin Euroblock. XLR male and Euroblock connectors are also provided for looping to additional amplifiers. Output connectors are locking Neutrik Speakon (NL-4) and Euroblock.
Network Enabled (NE) amplifiers offer ease of use, full setup, control and monitoring using standard 10/100 Ethernet protocol and Protea NE Software. No special outboard control units are needed. NE Series amplifiers are offered two ways; standard and "pe" (Protea Enabled) with our world renowned Protea DSP signal processing.
The DSP library is extensive and utilizes two SHARC 32-bit/96kHz processors. Processing blocks include Graphic, Parametric, Notch and Shelving Equalization, High-, Low- and All-Pass Filters (HPF/LPF/APF) with up to 48dB/Octave slopes, Delay, Compressor/Limiter, Gate, Ducking, Auto-leveler, Gain and Signal Generators (sinewave, white and pink noise). A full Matrix Mixer with assignable routing allows any input to drive any or all amplifier outputs. Presets can be used to store and retrieve global parameters of an entire amplifier's control surface and DSP section.
Additionally, each amplifier also provides DC voltage control of the attenuators which makes it a snap to control volume from remote locations, preset recall, Remote Power Standby and data in and out ports for connecting accessories like the WR-5 to control user selected parameters. There are LED indicators for power, standby, protect, network communications and each channel has a four-step signal meter, bridge mono, temperature and current indicators. AES/EBU, and Cobranet input modules will be available as options.
NE-Series Amplifiers are high-efficiency, lightweight, class D amplifiers with the latest in power and control technologies. 8, 4 and 2 channel models in low impedance, 25V, 70V and 100V versions are available. All amplifiers can be controlled and monitored using the built-in, standard Ethernet protocol. Control access to many features, including: input attenuation, channel mute, channel polarity, input level, output voltage, output current, clipping, temperature, and power on/off. Euroblock inputs and outputs are standard on each amplifier. Other input options are 4-channel mic pre, AES/EBU, CobraNet or EtherSound. DSP input modules feature 32-bit Sharc technology with an extensive library of signal processing and are designated with a ‘pe’ in the model name. Supports all Ashly remote control accessories.

Ashly PE Series DSP input option modules
When you add a Proteane DSP Option Card to your PE-Series amplifier, you have just simplified system implementation for many applications in live sound, commercial sound reinforcement and installations. Best of all, standard Ethernet protocol (auto or manual IP configuring), a PC and Ashly’s easy to understand and navigate Proteane Software is used to control everything.
Or, do it wireless! Proteane mobile is a software application enabling you wireless control of PE-Series amplifiers and the DSP-1 and DSP-2 Option Cards for the PE-Series amplifiers.
Proteane DSP Option Cards use a SHARC 200MHz, 32-bit floating-point processor and operates from 48 to 96kHz with a 24-bit AD/DA. Both the XLR and Euroblock versions offer both analog and digital (AES3) inputs and two additional processed output channels to drive additional amplifier channels. (One card will control two 2-channel amps!)
Proteane DSP cards have an extensive DSP library including: a full set of filter types for graphic, parametric, notch and shelving equalization. Additionally, there are Bessel, Butterworth and Linkwitz/Riley high and low pass crossover filters with slopes of up to 48dB/octave. For phase correction, Ashly has included all pass filters as an option. Additional processing blocks include: signal delay, compressor/limiter, gate, matrix mixer, signal generators (sinewave, white and pink noise) and metering.
All DSP functions use a “Click and Hot-Plug” user interface to place processor blocks in the signal chain. This method allows you to select a processing block and place it wherever you need it in your signal chain. The process is seamless and in real time, with no need to wait for your system to recalculate or recompile its settings.
Remote control of the front panel attenuators, power standby/power down and recall of up to three presets can be done using the contact closure terminals.
